As proud supporters of the American Irish Historical Society (AIHS), we feel compelled to express our deep dissatisfaction with the recent decision to remove Dr. Elizabeth Stack from her position as Executive Director. Dr. Stack has demonstrated unparalleled dedication, insight, and leadership in her brief time at the Society, significantly contributing to the institution's revitalization and preserving a crucial repository of Irish and Irish American cultural heritage.

Dr Stack's abrupt removal, cited by the Board as a cost-saving measure, undermines the considerable progress made under her guidance. This decision jeopardizes the continuity of AIHS programs and casts uncertainty over the future of one of the most prominent Irish American cultural institutions. We strongly urge the Society to reconsider this decision for the greater good of shared mission and community.
