He is the holder of both the Indoor and Outdoor Shot Put records along with four national titles. Eric set a new Irish Record of 20.93 meters or 68' 8" in Fleetwood Pennsylvania on April 27, 2024, staking a strong claim for inclusion on the Irish team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
